
The Government of the Venezuelan State of the north, Miranda, of about 8.000 km2, and the territory of the tiers East of Caracas, launched a program of “Zero Garbage” in the School of Monagas. This was made for children and teachers to recycle plastic materials, papers, and glasses.
Children of the school will participate in the competition up to the 14th of this month. The winner will be the one who gather more plastic bottles.
“The objective is to instill to the students that what we consume leave a waste, which can be recycle”, said to Tierramérica the Principal of the school, Sonia Pacheco.
The Environment Minister of the Government of Miranda, Evelyn Pallota, said to Tierramérica that “Zero Garbage” should “arrive to the 577 schools of the State for training to 9.000 teachers and 140.000 students in the conservation practice.” The investment in the program is about 690.000 dollars.
