Welcome!

Water and Youth International Movement is a cooperation network which came into being at the 1st Water and Youth International Meeting, held between April 12th and 14th 2007 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event gathered more than 350 young people from 50 countries, aiming to address the various and complex problems related to the use, care ad proper distribution of water, through the diversity of experiences and visions.

The mission of the International movement is: to build a water culture, based on the commitment and work of the youth sector, that allows stopping the pollution and irrational use of water resources, to guarantee the access to water of enough quantity and quality and to raise the awareness about the importance of water for present and future generations.

So far, the Movement has been acting in more than 50 countries around the world, organizing national movements in each one of them. At the same time, each National Movement is composed of different youth organizations of the society, oriented to environmental matters.
